Vienna’s most famous and coveted markets are the Christmas markets. Taking place from the middle of November to the end of December, a Viennese Christmas market is a special experience. There are large Christmas markets with hundreds of stalls selling Austrian delicacies, handmade wooden toys, souvenirs, and of course mulled cider and wine, to tiny Christmas markets wedged inside dead-end cobblestoned streets-blink-and-you’ll-have-missed-it. Each is unique and unforgettable in its own way.
